Welcome
to the newsletter that brings you interviews with PSP tutorial writers,
articles and odds and ends relating to Paint Shop Pro, and a little from
the world around us. .Thanks for taking the time to stop
by:).
Interview - I am sure everyone has done at
least one of Bonnie Hayler's tutorials :) She has a style all her
own. Now meet the lady behind
Hayler's Designs.
Can you tell me where you call home
Bonnie?
I am from Tiffin, Ohio and am
a single Mom of a 15 year old. She keeps me very busy since she
is involved in the band. I chaperone on the band bus and help
with the uniforms. I just don't have as much PSP time during
football season. We have 3 cats and 1 dog and guess who gets to
feed them all?
I work for Honeywell Inc. I
work in the factory making sparkplugs. I work a lot of 12 hour
days and also some weekends. I have worked there for 25 years. I
can't wait to retire so I will have more time for PSP!
How long have you been using PSP?
I have used PSP since Version
5.........about 5 years I think.
I know writing tutorials is very
time consuming, what drives you to write tutorials?
I belong to PSP Studio and
FBNGraphics at Yahoo Groups and when sending in my graphics, someone
would want to know how I achieved my results. It was much easier
writing a tutorial then trying to explain it in e-mail. I enjoy
sharing with others.
Reviewing your work, I see you are
drawn to frames:) Does the idea for a certain type of frame come
from a graphic you see? I have so many
beautiful images and love framing them. I just experiment and try
to remember what I did so I can write it down. I also love using
masks...........they produce such wonderful effects!
If I were to tell you that you could
only have one filter in your collection...<gasp> what would it be
and why? I guess my favorite filter would
have to be Fantastic Machine's Paint Engine. There are so many
different effects you can create with it.
I see your work show up everywhere,
and it is always news when you put up a new tutorial...what are
you working on now that we can look forward to?
I have been really busy working
overtime lately so am not currently working on a tutorial, but I'm
sure when I do it will have to be another mask and frame! I just
love seeing what I can come up with.
Thank you for your time Bonnie, I
appreciate it :)

Tip of the Week - Drag and Drop
If you are like
me, you receive a lot of graphics in your mail, and don't always take the
time to sort them while saving. Did you know that when you are in
the browse mode, you can left click on a picture and drag it to a new
folder? If the folder you want to move to is on another driver,
press Ctrl + drag. I also like to browse my mask folder and simply
drag the mask onto my image to check an effect.
Looking forward...
Next week we will be chatting with Lloyd

From the Mailbox
Hi
I have just received my second
newsletter from you.
I have enjoyed them immensely.
However I would like to make one
request .I would love
it if you included a photo of the
person you are interviewing.
I think this would make the readers
feel even closer to the subject
Keep up the good work
Cheers
Ivan
